Areas of Practice and Therapeutic Approach

I've been in private practice for over 34 years. I work with people from diverse backgrounds and with many different challenging life circumstances. I currently have openings for adults 16+. My areas of focus include life transitions and burnout, identity and self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationship issues, trauma and PTSD, alongside work with first responders and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. This isn't an exhaustive list - if you're wondering whether or not a particular concern falls within my scope of practice, feel free to reach out and ask.

My approach is relational and focuses on personal autonomy, authenticity, relationship building, positivity, hope and measurable change. I draw on a range of evidence-based, integrative approaches - including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, narrative, person-centered, humanistic, and strength-based methods - grounded in a feminist, culturally sensitive, trauma-focused, and compassion-focused lens.

If you think I may be a good fit for your individual, couple or group needs, I welcome you to reach out.
